Casbah Club ....And Then There Were Four

We’re so pleased to welcome back Bruce Watson, who rejoins Casbah Club after a few months of working on other projects, just in time to promote our new album “Venustraphobia” and go on the road supporting The Who. It’s amazing to be together again as a four-piece, and if you want to come and check us out, you’ll find all the latest dates on the Gig List page. We’d love to see you, and blow you away with our new material.

To acknowledge Bruce’s return we’ve done a new photo shoot, as you can see. Look out for more images from this latest shoot, along with some candid shots from our recent recording sessions, all coming shortly.

Our album, “Venustraphobia”, will be available from www.casbahclub.co.uk from 17th June, priced £10.00 so get your orders in now. More about the stories behind the 13 cool tracks on the CD coming soon to this website, so come back and check in again soon.

See you on the road,

Bruce, Simon, Mark and Bruce

P.S. Paul Weller has finally given us sample clearance for the use of 'Start' in our song, 'Any Way She Moves'. Great news! Thanks Paul.

Welcome back, you were missed.

I was fortunate enough to see the Casbah Club perform at the Who Convention and I can't say enough, now that you are four again things can only get better. I can't wait for the tour to hit the States so I can take in as many shows as I can afford. It was wonderful meeting you at the Convention, you are so great for hanging out the way you did, your wife, daughter and neice were delightful. You made the day very special for a lot of people, including myself. Pictures I took at the convention are on my blog and you feature prominently. Thanks again.

Last night was deffo a case of 2+2 = 6 (if that makes sense) there was more than the sum of the parts if you know what I mean - the band were SMOKIN and has deffo raised the bar

Loved Vibrate, Raised, Comeback and Anyway She Moves has got to be a single at some point.

Best regards to the rest of the boys....you guys are gonna make waves.........watch out Quo, you could be blown off stage at your own (sold out) gig!

Hello Simon

I thought you may have to ask Lennon/McCartney for permission for the bass line for Start?!!

Tax man.

Kind regards

.........or even George Harrison who wrote it!!

I think that's become Bruce Foxtons signature bass line which he also used on Liza Radley to great effect.

Great song which really goes down well live.

I hope you can find a second in your very busy schedule to
answer a quick WHO question:

As you and the guys have been
recording in the studio for the
new conventional WHO CD,are there
any plans to include any possible
John Entwistle tracks(basslines)
that he had put down before
his passing?I thought I had read and heard from Pete that John indeed recorded some tracks.

Hi Sully - Yes, I've Comeback.

Mike S - don't work too hard. Photos are cool.

Hi Pieter - Blackburn, Southend and Huddersfield - all really good gigs. Really rockin' now Bruce Watson is back in line up. Twin guitar attack is back!

Hi Sue - really hope you get to see us play live this year. We are quite likely but not yet definitely doing some Who supports on US leg of tour.

Hi Justin - great that you are going to be doing stuff with R & P. Maybe one day you'll make that clip for me, eh?? Good luck man!

Hi Neil. I hope you made it along to Riga! Great venue, sound system, people etc. Felt like it was a good gig too. Glad you are diggin' Vibrate.

Hi Lisa - Yeah! Check out the new look website too, www.casbahclub.co.uk We're looking really sharp there too. I am really happy with Vibrate - go ahead and download and share.

Hi Maria - you can put your order in but the album won't be shipped until official release date, June 17th. Check around website and our myspace site for free downloads, sample clips, streaming audio etc. You should get the lyrics down ok.

Hey PaulB - good to hear you are into Vibrate. It is available for free download at our website. Buy that t-shirt while you're visiting.... wouldn't want you showing up to gigs in scruffy old one.

Hi Jen - Hey, subpar Chinese food sucks nearly as much as CFC. I am off to Paris tomorrow to watch a decent team play. Thanks for support - glad you're enjoying new music.... I hear pre orders are coming in thick and fast.... better get yours in ;-)

Hey Paul - thanks for the review on gig. See you at NEC.

Hi Alecia - You can press my button anytime!!

Hi Lance - Cool thought. Funnily enough if Paul Weller declined that was what we were going to do.

Mark - Thanks for the support at show. So glad you had a good night and got a pick too - that was more than lucky!

Hi Sue - my dog is called Bruce too.... funny that, eh!!

Seekingsanctuary (K) Please do hang out more often. Say what you think! Good to hear you are into the music. new CD is on sale so go for it.

Yolanda - Good to hear you are coming to Guildford gig. Vibrate really rocks doesn't it. We are going back to Manchester to record more in June. Thanks for posting photos - keep spreading the word. ps - yes, Cartoon Cub gig was cancelled for logistical reasons.

Hi Charlotte (Miss Lane) - So glad to be of service. Are you coming to Guildford or NEC? Would love to see you.

Thanks Belinda - Thanks for sharing in the excitement. Your support is vital. Go visit our new website www.casbahclub.co.uk

Hey Danny - Get to a gig.... WE ROCK! Fucking AYE!

Hi ptfan - Comeback is a fave of mine too.

Hey Tone - Vibrate is a killer song.... coming from you that is very reassuring.

Zoe - So you downloaded eh!! CD on sale now. Hope to see you at a gig soon.

Lee ann - Your Castle is inspiring... U will love new song Man In Me.

Hi Jim - Ho Ho Ho! Thanks for the support.

Hi Anne Marie - Berlin? I didn't even know I was playing there! Look forward to it too.

Hi Mike S - dunno! Bruce Foxton was definitely on new recording of Vibrate.

Hi Marietta - Southend was cool - glad you made it. Will say hi to Hannah. Come to Guildford or NEC and yes, buy the CD - out now.

Thanks everone - I'll do page update soon.
