Hi Alecia - The cafe press store was set up by Bob at Stir Music, mainly for the girls looking for more choice. The mugs and mouse mats were my idea

Hey Bill, since you're ordering CC shirts, I should tell you that I'm getting you the Jr Baby Doll T for Christmas. Sorry to ruin the surprise.

Blogger Nabonidus said...

Alright! Except now the problem becomes deciding: I'm torn between the baseball sleeved T-s, or the sweatshirt.
With sweatshirts ( Hi Alecia!), I like to buy them and modify them. I cut a slit in the neck of it,making an instant v-neck and remove the ribbing around the bottom of it ( and also from the sleeves)so that it lays smooth and flat against my body. Much more feminine looking and only takes about 10 minutes. The sleeves are slightly more loose and flattering that way, too.
And because it's sweatshirt material, you don't need to hem it! Hmm...I'm probably going to get that sweatshirt. Sigh.I shouldn't, but...
Thanks for the choices, Simon! That was fast!
Now if we can just get a CD or clip put up of your Christmas jam performance. :) Ok, just kidding -kind of. It really was beautiful
and moving. xoxolisa

This sure beats the hell out of that french maid's outfit I bought for you this year.

It's funny because I'm going to make a point of wearing it to kareoke, onstage singing in front of a hundred ( and even 200 at times!)of locals that know the Casbah logo. So
I know people are going to come up and ask me where I got it( our local Casbah has the more traditional Moroccan looking logo). They'll want to know if Casbah changed their logo. :)
BTW you guys, my new profile pic looks downright scrooge-like shrunk down like this! I swear to you, I'm not frowning, it was meant to be a happy picture for you guys!lol I was too sad to put up a tree last year, this is a big improvement over last years' profound sorrow.
I'm trying to be kinder, gentler Lisa. I'm really trying. That's part of what my frowny ( when shrunk) new profile pic is about.:)I was going for a "cautiously looking forward to the season and New Year" look.

True Jack... know your audience, very smart! That baby bib is too cute!

I've decide on the matching mom and son baseball black sleeve shirts. We'll be "twins" although I am still twice his heigth. Thanks again!

Lisa, your photo is cute! Glad your feeling in the spirit. I am too. I made a little audio clip last night for my profile. I'm not a singer, as you can tell. I just felt in the mood :-)

Merry Christmas everyone!

Pretty cool merchandise you got there!

Simon, I would like to say that you've never sounded better, but the truth is that I didn't know your voice and songs until this fall. Still, I think your performances are on fire! in a good way, of course! You are so "on" when you perform and it's about as real as anything could be.

I love having what is to me "new music" in my life since the Attic: Rachel, Mikey, Simon, and Pete's new stuff. Terrific. Thanks for sharing it with us as you do.

And Merry Christmas to you and yours. It's colder than the Arctic here in Minnesota and we are all planning for a cozy holiday, then I am a lucky girl hopping a plane to San Francisco for New Year's week. Happy.

I've been so impressed with the song about Those Eyes. Simon, you are either going to hate this link or love it. I will not be offended if you decide to remove it.

It's so beautiful I'd really like to share it on my music blog as well if you don't mind. Again if you do mind, that's ok by me. The quality does suck and my dogs had a slight argument midway through.

Although if percieved in percieved in another light, it's kind of interesting shot off the monitor but maybe more so that it came from a blogger/fan who was so moved they felt compelled to share it.

Again I understand if you pull it. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I guess most of us artist types are! The Basement Jam logo is a good example. I should have foreseen one potential use of the identity for the lead in to the show. Got it right now with Rach so I think that is covered for future use.

Simon and Web guys,
Thank you for the Live at Astoria downloads!
That's really cool that you would share this with everyone for free!
It was super easy to burn right to CD. Wonderful!

I am also enjoying the other downloads especially "I am the Answer".
If you could play that when you come to the states with CC that would be awesome.
I remember listening to the song and watching you perform it in San Francisco like it was yesterday!
That's a testament to how that song impressed me and your performance that night.

The gutair part right after the intro drum beats makes me want to get up and dance, in fact I did!!!
And the part where you drop the notes down singing... I'm the answer! really cool, always was.

Here's the direct link to the song from your main site. I'll give it a line break after /cds/ so maybe the link with all show up. For those wanting to hear it, just copy and paste the two lines into your browser so they are re-connected again.

Ah, I feel 18 again and it's 2:00am - good lord! :-)

Blogger Nabonidus said...

That's what I was thinking too, Alecia. :) Heheh, surely it's got enough "technical difficulties" that
it's not such an issue. I hope, I hope. lol
But Simon's gotta at least be in a good mood to hear about Rick.
Rick, and Simon, if you are reading this, I'm soooo happy for you all! This couldn't have been better news. And at Christmas.
I can suddenly see where it's going to be an especially fine and special Christmas for certain families this year, and rightly so. I hope it's the best one ever for you all.:)
And I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the Vibrate song, Alecia.
And Simon, I hope you've forgiven me from the other day. I'm actually a little bit worried about that:(
I'll just leave in the future if anything happens anymore.I'm on my best behaviour here now.

Last evening I realized how to download all of the individual songs off the website and promptly burned them to CD. THANK YOU! This CD will be played while on vacation for the week. Maybe the CC package will be here when I get back!

Listening to songs on the site is good but I highly recommend downloading the files and burning to a CD for playing directly in your CD player... AND USE HEADPHONES!!! :-)

Simon I feel compelled to offer some kind of appreciation for these downloads by sharing some specific thoughts about them...

COMEBACK - Thank you for including that one! You were on fire in The Basement Jam performance!

ECSTASY HEAVEN - This is really beautiful in every way.

HTML - Insightful - how many pages you say? As many as it takes!
In my twisted brain I change the ending to be HTM-hell.

I AM THE ANSWER - Still dancing here!

NEXT FLY is AMAZING, I love this! Is this one brand new? EVERYTHING about it is beautiful!

SWEET SOUND - Funky guitar parts - love it! I don't remember the song played like this on the album.

THE WAY IT IS - Absolutely brilliant! I've had to learn to take people or situations at face value, not the way it was, not the way it should be.

I am really ecstatic to have re-connected with your music. Its a privilege to hear an artist really express themselves. In today's world of music and bottom line figures that seems to get lost. Its also beautiful to see how you've grown as a person which is obvious by listening to your music.

I am flying high with love today,
Thank You!

Important questions for Bob K:

- Does the dog t-shirt come with a dog?

- Similarly, does the spaghetti tank come with spaghetti? (Or a tank?)

BTW, I bought you, Bill and Kathy a mousepad with my face on it. This is from a play I did a few years ago. Simon, you were spared...for now. Happy Xmas.

Hi everyone. I feel I should sit down and reply to you all individually but maybe that's a bit over the top - I do read all the thoughts and comments carefully though. Thanks for all the input. So happy those of you that heard my new song, Vibrate enjoyed it. Plus all the comments on the cafepress online merchandising - glad you like the selection.

Seychelle - I LOVE Diane Keaton in Annie Hall.... wicked movie. She was in a great film more recently, right? The one with Jack Nicholson.... I forgot the name??

Hey Brina, so pleased you're getting into my music.

Thanks Niel (by mouth) - Cool CD isn't it! More to come early next year.

Zoe - I hope you noticed you got your wish of CC doggie suits. I think I'm going to order one of those for my Springerdor.

Hi Alecia - thanks so much for all your comments and positive feedback. I am going to take a listen to Next Fly myself... I forgot about that one since we reworked it into Raised. Vibrate will be recorded next session, in January I hope. Oh, and the song about 'Those Eyes' is called Bare Assets and is on the SimonTownshendis disc I believe.

Thanks Jack, Paul B, Steve H, James, Mike and Ron for your kind words about Rick Parfitt. Obviously it is a huge relief, wonderful, wonderful news not only for Rick and his family but for everyone in the Quo set up and ofcourse the Casbah camp. We are so happy about this news - Rock on!

Another thing Seychelle... Do you really want a sex change? We were thinking of having some shirts made up with the phrase on the back and logo on front. I guess you would buy one of these, right?? p.s. your prayer seems to have worked!

Lisa - don't worry about your moods, etc. I don't mind your long ramblings either. It's all good.

Hi Stan - good to have you here mate! And everyone else I haven't acknowledged, Bob, Bill and Gigi... chat again soon. x

p.s. Next fly was the second song that

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

The background music is a pretty nice feature I started using about a week ago. All you have to do to use background music is either upload a song to a server or find a song which is already online. So lets say for example I upload a song to Next I make a new post and click on edit HTML instead of compose above the body of the post. Then all you would do is type {embed src=""hidden="true"

Make sure you replace all of the "{" symbols with < or >... if I typed them in this post it would embedd the text!! :(

Wah Lah!

Let me know if it works out for you or you have any questions… well I’m sure ill notice if it does work!!!
