All ready for the road. First stop BBC Radio Sheffield 2.30pm tomorrow, then on to soundcheck, then...

"Waking up in the battle zone..."!

This is what being in a band is all about. Not all the bullshit that I've had in my life these last few months dealing with lawyers and bitter colleagues. It's time to go out and do what I enjoy doing and put the problems of the past behind me. Play live to thousands of people, reaching out to touch them with music. That's all! Everything else can simply f--- off!

All the very best on the Casbah Club tour! Much success and enjoy the crowds loving your music. Take it all in as the crowds take you in.

You lucky man! Have a great tour and hi to Bruce!!!

BTW, I was saying a couple of weeks that Quo's live act must be good and might be worth trying for an evening out - as you're now supporting I'll see if I can pick up a couple of tickets for one of the shows.

Take care

HAHAHAHA- look into a mirror, a touch bitter yourself. Speaking of sad old (and pathetic) gits, at least Simon isn't hiding behind an anonymous login.

Stevie Wonder - why did you come here?

3:20 AM
Blogger stef-at-blog said...

Yes, angerstora bitters.
Sad that's often the heart of music biz for many.
Good job the music makes up for it.

Stevie Wonder. Fuck off loser. WE have no desire to listen to anon comments. Get a blog, out your identity up there and bring it on crusty bollocks.

Full steam ahead Simon, rough waters are behind you now and it's clear and calm ahead. As we Irish are famous for saying "May the wind be always at your back ...etc, etc, etc.
BTW - are you, and or The Casbah Club, doing the TCT concert at Royal Albert with The Who in 2006?

7:39 AM

gimp hunter you can get a life as well - play in a band do you or just with yourself?

how fucking sad are all 'anonymous' people! You honestly need to get a life! What is the need in going round peoples blogs leaving pointless little messages?!?! Maybe we should all just feel sorry for you that that’s all you have to do in your pathetic little lives.

Hey look everyone, it's a baby troll!
Aw, how cute, it's a little baby boy troll! Well hey little baby boy! I think you've apparently wandered away from your troll quagmire, your troll education center!

Banish thee troll, go back from wence ye came! You're not ripe yet, Junior! You come off like an amateur!
Right now it's merely a battle of wits with an unarmed troll that can't even create a proper blog.
And we have Gatlin guns or AK's.
Truly funny.
Sorry for adressing it, Si.
But y'alls trolls have been making me laugh. They sound like babies whining piteously over what they don't have.

A little cryptic, but damn those who want a piece of you. Always, where can't some ass try to make sense and a living out of whatever it is creatives do?

Enjoy the road. Play to the night, and its stars of faces.

Oh, and keep your hat on (joke).

This posting was not aimed at any particular individual/s. I can understand why certain people are taking offence and for that I'm so sorry but there has been a misunderstanding here, I wrote this piece through frustration from things in general. One point is simply that for an artist, music should come first but in the music business it rarely does. My second point that fans should understand that we are all human and can make mistakes like everybody else. I'm sorry if I have left anybody personally hurt by situations that were BEYOND MY CONTROL, nothing I have done was meant to cause anguish or harm.

Not sure what you were reading. I read a lot of support here. Wrap yourself in it!

For me, I wasn't pointing out one person above anyone, so much as inclusively there will be a thing, a one, an entity to keep the creative away from the craft; and, in turn, that entity is earning.
