Casbah Club Promo Shot

It's late here. I know I have neglected my blog.... Sorry, been a busy boy. Also, worse still, it's 2.15am here and I have to be up pretty early - well, I won't be pretty but I have to be up early. Hopefully I'll be able to make some time tomorrow to blog around, meet a few interesting people, leave a few cryptic messages here and there. Until then here's a promo shot of Casbah Club taken by my wife Janie. That's me in the middle. Bye for now.

What an exciting time in your life--I hope you can take the time and enjoy every minute. I am really looking forward to the pay-per view show in December. Wish we could be there but its a busy time of year for us and we live in Texas. Maybe we will try to come to the next one, and I am sure there will be a next one!!!!!
Oh --love your website. I have been many times and I am getting my Christmas order together soon.
Looking forward to "In the Attic" on Thursday.

Don't let yourself get rundown...
Take care

Cool photo, you have that Rock n' Roll I'm not smiling no matter what look.

Hope they get the loop from last weeks Attic working before this weeks so they can loop this weeks when it's over since I won't be able to see this weeks live. Whew, that's one run on sentence.

Glad to see your keeping a high profile. Your music deserves it.
PS. If you get the chance I would love your feedback on the lyric, Apparent Reality, I posted on my blog.

congrats on the Quo tour, your new website, sounds like you're quite busy for the rest of this year! it's great! Your talent deserves all the attention!

I recently picked up "Among Us" (not from your site, but I promise any future purchases will be!). Can't pick a favorite song, but I love "So Sleep", "Save Me", "Girl in NY", ...I am so happy to hear you are still with Janie..I'm a sucker for happy endings.

Hi Si,
I just have to share this. I was in Soho yesterday. Walked into a record shop, thought they might be "hip" enough to carry a cd or two of yours. But no!
I feel like I'm living in a twisted universe!
I hate buying online. But since you have that "hackfree" thingy, I'll go there now. I thought I bought on Amazon, but order never went thru? Watch, I'll be getting 3 cds all the same, oh i'll just give them out! I'll trust your website!
bye for now

6:11 AM
Blogger lryicsgrl said...

I just wanted to say thank you for making it soooo easy to order your music.
Amazon is too weird, back orders and just a longer process.
This was so simple. I encourage everyone who hasn't bought a CD online before, do so now. It is guaranteed secure.

Cool pic.. Foxton still has spikey hair. I have a question for him, it would be cool if you could aks him for me.

I've wondered if Bruce kept the clothing from the days in The Jam. He wore some nice outfits, and I'd be curious if he stored them. I still have my black & white jam shoes, pedal pushers and mod parka, can't bring myself to throwing them away.

Great picture!!!

I've been watching the Quad DVD and loved your performance as the Bus Driver.

Also, couple of years ago I bought the British Rock Orchestra DVD. And who's voice mesmerised me? Here's the multiple choice:
a)The scary guy with the long hair?
b)The guy who used to sing Everytime You Go Away?
c)The guy with the amazing voice doing backing vocals on Streetfighting Man and singing Norwegian Wood?
Phew, what a voice!

I'm so happy to be on the list for the Basement Jam!!!!
Can't wait to hear your fab songs live again!

'Till then
Take good care

Hi Simon, Pretty cool photo of the three of you! Take care of your hand, now. I just got to see the loop of last week's "Attic" and I loved your bit at the piano. "My Pigeon Friend" was a total hoot, but also a good song and fun for singing along. I could just picture a whole roomful of bloggers singing with you...I was singing here!

P.S. check out my latest entry and have a laugh!

Simon, your simontownshendis CD and Foy Vance arrived last night and they are slot 3 & 4 in my car, slot 1 & 2 new Kate Bush CD and slot 5 is darling Rachel, slot 6 will be The Vibrants when it arrives. Since blogging I have had my ears opened up to wonderful music. On your CD I especially like "Flying". I'm hoping for nothing but the best for Casbah Club so you can get the credit you sorely deserve.

Thanks for your kind comment Simon.

It was pretty wild to see those doves out flying around performing aerial acrobatics, almost in unison, with my Son today. Took our breath away. Lucky I had my camera. I took like 35 pics just to get the 7 I posted. Guess I was lucky to get those.

Will you be in the Attic next week? I really enjoy your music. You rock!

Peace, love and light to you and yours.

So glad to hear that your marriage is solid again Simon. I checked out the lyrics to "Healer". It's pretty obvious that you are absolutely and totally in love with your wife. It is inevitable that time will prove to be a healer for you both and that the love you have for her will overcome any and all obstacles you may encounter along the way. I raise a glass to your long, passionate and successful future together.
To you Simon. Thanks for your music, for keeping the rest of us grounded and for restoring our faith in Love.
