In pyjamas

Just arrived home from yet another episode of In The Attic. Such an innovative way to use WhoTV and this was the wierdest one yet. Broadcast at midnight for the folks across the pond we all wore pyjamas, except Pete dressed to kill all in black and Rachel who looked wonderful in her nightie. I should have printed a target on mine to personalise them but I must say thanks to Rachel for supplying what was requested.... purple jim-jams! Had a good time though I was a bit sleepy, sang a couple of songs of my own and listened to other cool music by Sam and Giles, Mikey and ofcourse Rachel. Also my nephew Joseph played guitar which really knocked me out - would have loved to hear him sing though (maybe next time).

Thanks, Si. Are you a night owl? whooooooooooooooo....

I am one.

You were heart-wrenchingly good tonight. It was a blast to have a PJ webcast. Thanks so much. Pete's stories were so funny, you should've seen your face when he was talking about you!

Simon,

It was a fun webcast! You look fab in the purple PJs. "Until Tomorrow" and "Time the Healer" sounded wonderful! It's always a treat to hear you sing.

I watched the entire webcast from work. Let's just say I didn't get a lot of work done tonight! ;-)

I caught your performance of "Time the Healer", and it was one of the highlights of my day.

Question for you: Do you wear the Edge hat to bed or is that strictly for the cameras?

Simon,

I'm going to have a mutual business associate send you my email address. What would be helpful is to have a disc of perhaps 5 of your tracks that you envision in film. This way, I can pass off to producers should you be interested. Best, L.A. Gal

LA Gal, pardon the intrusion, but would you mind setting up a blog here so we could exchange a bit of info. It's easy to do and you can remain completely anonymous--you don't have to post an email address. Just click on "Get your own blog" at the top of Simon's page.

Excellent show last night. It gets better every week. I was going to bed and planned to watch the loop but stayed up 'til 0230 to watch the show live. Knackered today though. Looking forward to the normal time show next week.

I had trouble with my wireless internet connection so I missed most of the show. Seems the hurricane that passed over us a few days ago did more damage than I initially realized.

I did manage to hear you sing "Until Tomorrow'. Quite lovely. What a wonderful song.

First of all thanks for signing the 'Among Us' album cover for me at the Bedford gig. I was at the Casbah Club gig on the Renfrew Ferry in Glasgow back in May, I hope some of your past songs will now reach a wider audience through the Casbah Club project. I couldn't get 'Sex Change' out of my head and was getting some peculiar looks from my workmates when I was caught singing the first couple of lines.
Have you particular favourite guitars for studio and live work ?

Simon,
loved you on In The Attic last night, just excellent.

I have a confession to make. I was chatting on Ballerina Gurl's web site while you were getting ready to go on and got the foolish idea to login as simont announcing I am Simon... well, obviously, the female portion of the audience warmed right up to me.. I wasn't SimonT for very long mind you, but I liked it, plus, you're a lot thinner and better looking than me, and a better singer...

Phew... that feels better already and I'm not even Catholic.

Cheers.

I just bought The Vibrants CD off their site. The music scene is pretty dead in the State right now. We need you and your band to kick something out, soon!

Hi Brina - I am a night owl. Don't normally wear pj's though - mainly walk around the house starkers!

Hi Ric - Sorry I missed you in Mollys chat room - glad you enjoyed the show.

Hi ptfan - what's your name again? Don't feel bad about posting stuff too much - I love it... just often tend to read it and not reply like the lazy arse I am. I look forward to hearing Joseph sing.

Hi Ann - Work always should come second to music. Good girl!

Thanks andyW! Glad you enjoyed show.

Hi Lucky Buck. Time The Healer is an old fave of mine - The Edge hat was Pete's idea - he thinks it's a trademark

Hi Kara - I was genuinely worried as my underwear had lost a button and the pyjamas had no fastener. It would have been my worst nightmare to pop out in front of so many viewers!

Hi Izygrl - I think you misheard our converstaion, sound was quite quiet apparently. Anyway, dad didn't write score for 'Man Who Fell To Earth' - Wierd Bowie flick!

Hi Belinda - I saw the film of Cream at RAH a couple of weeks back and really enjoyed it. Having said that I followed it by watching their farewell gig in 68 I think... amazing.

Hi Seychelle - thanks for the positive comments. My dreams couldn't have been sweeter.

Hi Bill - hope you're well. Until Tomorrow is a favourite of many

Hi Jessica - Mikey and I are going in the studio next week to master up some tracks for a disc. What are your favourites?

Thanks Janey - Glad you had a fun night

Thanks LaGal - I'll be glad to have some music sent off to you

Hi PKeets - I've got a budgie.... called Joey (how original, eh?)

Hi Justin - No worries mate - more to come next week and the dead are a good enough reason.

Hi Mike - Good vibes mate!

Mark T - This one was specially for those in the states.... you weren't supposed to stay up and watch it. Naughty boy.

Hey Cara (aka Storm) Happy you liked my song. Did you see my funny posting on your blog about your doggie?

Hi Karel - I stick my fingers in different sockets now I'm a bit older and wiser... still seem to get the odd shock though ;-) Cool you enjoyed Until Tomorrow so much - a fave of mine

Hi Kenny - Sex Change is a wild one! Rocks live. I am using a Strat with p90s (SG pick ups). Sounds great and a very sturdy guitar whereas SGs don't take too much pounding before they drift.

Hi Gary - Ok. Use my name anytime you like as long as it's incriminating - I want publicity!

Hi Andyw - Casbah CD may be out very soon - we are working on the deal as we speak.

Cheers to all you beauts that take the time to visit me, comment, get involved in my little world. Me loves you all!

It felt like being part of your late night party. I really enjoyed your songs, as usual. You are so talented! I loved guys from The Vibrant, and I bought their EP today. Joseph was amazing too. What a chip off the ol' block eh? Can't wait to hear the lad do some singing. Thanks for joining in on the fun each week. Keep it up!

Aaaaaaargh! Amazon are delaying the delivery of your album :-(
But I've downloaded "Save Me From Me" from their site. Another great song, I must say!

Thinking of coming to the Quo/Casbah Club gig... Stupid December is going to be very busy for me, but I might know by the end of November.
I hope it won't be sold out by then.

Hey Simon, It's night-owl time again here in Minnesota. Must mean it's later where you are.

I noticed that "Fargo" is one of your fav. movies. I've got a funny bit of "Fargo" trivia for you, if you have a strong stomach (I don't!):

The wood chipper from "Fargo"? It is in the basement of a married couple we know here in Minnesota! Yes, really. Lisa was one of our son's nurses in Children's Hospital; we adored her. Turns out her husband Miles works part-time on movies, whenever there's a movie filmed in this area he tends to work on the crew, and he worked on the Coen Brothers' "Fargo." At the end of the project, the Coens let the crew have props to keep, and he chose the wood chipper.

It's been in their basement for a long time.

Now is that something you'd want to have in your house?! I'd get nightmares, I think! But then, I get nightmares from movie previews, so it doesn't take much. That's one reason I hardly watch tv, the violent scenes just haunt me.

Hope you're having a good night.

Hello Simon!

Just a brief post to say how much I enjoyed your set at The Bedford Arms the other week.
All the artists that played that night did a great job. However, I thought that your songs were 'outstanding!' The next time I go to a music shop I shall certainly look for any of your Cd's.

(From the big guy who said hello to you at the gig and remembered 'The Sounds of Green Lightning')

All the best!

Sorry bloggers for my lack of updates.

Hi Andy - No your not nuts. I posted a live clip but I thought the quality was really poor so I took it down. I could repost it if you don't mind the dodgy sound?

Hey - ex girlie... you can link into WhoTV at PeteTownshend.com, especially fun on a Wednesday when we are on air live.

Hey Sue - Time actually healed us both, we are still together 26 years on - just a temporary split. I'll be playing 2nd guitar and doing back ups in the States with The Who next year (Casbah Club may be the support act).

Hi Marietta - Hope to see you at Quo show. Which one are you thing of attending?

Thanks auntie!

Hi Brina - more trivia relating to Fargo... Prince is playing a cameo, he runs away from the turned over car and gets shot in the back. Useless but interesting info.

Seychelle - I will see what I can find toplease you. Sorry I've been so quiet all week - loads of crap business stuff to deal with.

Hi Adam - Sounds Of Green Lightening! My first band - I LOVE that name. Thanks for reminding me. Glad you enjoyed the gig. My CDs will be on sale at my own website simontownshend.com in the next few days. Cheers

Hi anonymous - sorry for the silence. I am a bad boy that needs a good smack botty.

Hi Molly - Good to hear from you. I'll be there on Thursday. I'll try and pop in to the chatroom and say hi on the Eel Pie computer.

Hi Gary - I'll try and add the link this evening.... shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks everyone - I'll put up new pic and live clip with dodgy sound and link to website and Casbah Club info and anything else I can think of to keep me in your hearts... you are good to me and I like having you around. xx
