Casbah Club have confirmed the support slot on the December leg of the Status Quo UK tour. If you would like to take a look at the gig list, here is a link:

Rocktastic mate! AND... there are even bigger and better things on the horizon for next year - no disrespect to Quo, they are fantastic but my all time dream may be coming true... Watch this space!!

That's fantastic news that the Casbah Club have been confirmed to support Status Quo. Now all we need to do is convince Status Quo to tour North America and I can finally see you in concert (other than the Who).

Your post is filled with excitement and I'm really happy for you. You deserve to have your dreams come true.

hey Simon,
Great news about the tour, will buy a ticket for status quo now everything has been confirmed for the casbah club to support.
Hope they don’t mind me leaving after you have played though as, no offence to them, they are a great band, but I’m not a great fan of theirs :P look forward to seeing you play

Simon, Congratulations on the tour news. At this rate you will reach the even bigger dream, too.

It's a good thing you like to perform. Those are a lot of dates!

On the website listing the dates, can you get them to insert an "h" in your last name?!

What can I tell you, I proofread for a living...

Happy for you, and hope to see you in the Attic soon. I can still hear the songs from last time in my head.

Best wishes, man. I remember attending your concert at the Palace in Hollywood, circa 1984. I couldn't get close to you but remember having a beer with Tony Butler . . ..

I had that album on vinyl--"Sweet Sounds"--and probably still do somewhere in my attic.

I admire your courage to stop drinking and smoking, and glad to hear that you are happy and productive.

Cheers from Indiana!

"Rocktastic" - adding that to my ever growing list of new and exciting words with POP!

How do you suggest I use that in a sentence as to not take away it's glory in yours? lol

All time Dream? hmmm I have a few ideas, but enlighten us please. Could it be on THIS side of the pond by chance??

Hello Simon,

I would like to ask your opinion on some lyrics I wrote and posted on my blog. It's a rocker called Spinnin"!. I have never been very good at putting music to my lyrics. I am a drummer you know. Smile. Perhaps if you like the lyrics we could collaborate on this tune. I would certainly appreciate your opinion. You rock man! Peace

Hi Simon

After seeing Casbah Club in Ashton last May my advice would be drop the covers & play your own stuff - I was very impressed with your material.

I also owe you an apology - we met after the show & I fired off a load of questions about big brother. You had just played a very good show and I didn't tell you how good it was and how good the material was.

Through contacts I may have VIP tickets for the Quo Manchester show so I hope I can apologise in person to you there.

Does your dream coming true have anything to do with being support act for a quiet little band from Shepherds Bush who are touring the States next year?????

Take care Mate

Wow. this sounds very promising. Would love to see your music get the acclaim it deserves. I notice there is a Cardiff gig; saw you there last year with The Who.Great gig. Well if i can get a ticket Simon, will show my face. Let me know if there are any passes flying about.

Good luck.

Simon, one quick recommendation on the logo, The name will jump out a bit if you apply a slight White glow effect to the lettering, try 5% feathered white glow, it will make the black letters pop up from the blue and red parts of the target.

Also - I thought it was so cool during Live 8 when Chris Martin from Coldplay added the

"... rocking all over the world" part from the Quo tune during their last song.

I think this will be excellent for you guys, 16 days is not that long - great exposure, then home for the hols. My very best to you.

whats the rider like guys - for the quo concert - maybe if the quo guys gave casbah club a decent pay package , rider and decent bed and board each night along with the agreement to sell casbah club. merchandise at each venue - then ALL parties might be more interested in taking part! it works both ways! if not they might be better off supporting james blunt!

Hey Si,
Have you been to KidRics blog to read his song yet? I really like it! He asked if you liked it if you could make some music to go with it. That would be SO COOL! I think the lyrics are real good and about ready to fly. With your talent, your music could really give it wings! I think it has potential to be something very alive and moving!
Whatcha say? : D Wouldnt' that be excellent to collaborate with a fellow blogger?
Yeah Baby, yeah!

By the way, thanks so much for setting up a blog! I (all of us really) LOVE having this interaction with you!!!! You ROCK!

See you tonight!

Wonderful news about Quo!

It's so sad your feelings for Janey. It still looks so fresh on your face when you sang. Did you get back together with her? Are you with her now? On others blogs or on the attic, when you speak of her you say your wife, not your ex-wife. And Mikey called you a lucky man. So are you two together?
Too personal?
I just care is all.kozq

Great In the Attic tonight, the purple pajamas were fab! You sounded wonderful tonight as usual! Glad to hear you have concrete plans to tour with Status Quo, I only wish I had the means to be in the UK to take in a show or two. I can only imagine how much fun that will be! Can't you even give us a hint as to WHO you will be touring with next year? Pleeeeese! I will be watching for you In the Attic again very soon. Thanks so much for your music!

Simon, Your music was beautiful as we have come to expect, and so passionate too. Like ptfan, I wondered about your wife. I am newly divorced and find myself still calling him my "husband" occasionally, or in stories from when we were still married, I refer to him as my husband.

Esp. if you're married a long time (mine was a 27-year run), those words stay on our tongue.

Anyway, thanks for the Attic, and your jammies were very adorable.
